ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has once again rejected the allegations of forgery in the documents regarding the construction of his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad.
The Supreme Court (SC) today resumed the hearing of a case regarding encroachments and environmental degradation in Bani Gala.
Imran’s counsel Babar Awan told the court that the no-objection certificate (NOC) issued for the Bani Gala residence was not fake and it carried the signature of former local secretary of Bara Kahu local union.
On Feburary 28, Additional Attorney General (AAG) Nayyar Rizvi had submitted a report in the court stating that Imran’s NOC for the construction of his Bani Gala residence could not be verified.
“The official lied that he did not issue and/or sign the document”, said Babar. He also produced the NOC before the bench.
The court told the lawyer that Imran would have to regularise his estate, in line with court orders to the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The hearing of case was adjourned till March 13.
